Agralan Yellow Sticky Traps - 5 Double Sided TrapsAgralan Yellow Sticky Traps - 5 Double Sided Traps(Reference #PC-042)
Control a range of insect pests, including Whitefly, Thrips, Leaf Miners and Greenfly in the Greenhouse and Conservatory.
Pesticide free.
5 double-sided traps with cover paper (plus hangers).

The traps are courted with hard glue, which is highly effective in catching insects, but does not adhere to hands or clothing. Each side of the trap is protected with a sheet of cover paper.

The sticky end for whitefly and other pests.

Small flying insect pests are attracted by the unique yellow colour and stick to the non-drying glue covering the trap.

Many insect pests, particularly Whitefly, Thrips, Leaf Miners and Aphids are difficult to control with insecticides. By catching winged adults with Agralan Yellow Sticky Traps, before they reach the plants, the build up of pests will be delayed. Existing insect populations may also be reduced. If the problem is severe, some complimentary control measure may be needed.

As a guideline use a least one trap per 25 sq. ft. of greenhouse area. Best results will be achieved if traps are introduced early in the season, before the pest is established. If adults are already present they should be disturbed by trapping the plants.

The traps will stay sticky and attractive for several months (they should be changed sooner if more than half the surface is covered in insects or dust).

Agralan Glue Bands - 1.75mAgralan Glue Bands - 1.75m(Reference #PC-031)
For fruit and ornamental trees.
Treats up to 8 trees.

The natural choice!

Protects against winter moths, ants and other crawling insects.
Easy to use, long lasting, pesticide free.
Protects up to 8 average sized trees.

Winter Moths: there are three common species of winter moths, all of which lay eggs in trees over winter which hatch out into caterpillars which attack the young leaves of trees in the spring. Female moths are wingless and climbe the tree in the winter to mate and lay their eggs. Agralan Glue Band forms a barrier which the moths cannot cross. This prevents egg-laying and consequently damage from the caterpillars.

Ants: Ants will frequently climbe trees to 'farm' greenfly and blackfly. They collect the sugary exudate and take it back to the nest as food. They protect to the greenfly against predators such as ladybirds and lacewing larvae (by spraying them with formic acid). Agralan Glue Band will form an effective barrier against ants, leaving the greenfly vulnerable to natural predators.

Agralan Glue Bands are coated with a non-drying glue which forms are a very effective barrier against insects. Use from October until April to protect against winter moths and again from May until August against ants. The bands will also protect against earwigs, adult vine weevil and other crawling insects.

The bands are made from a special non-toxic, non-drying glue which is coated onto green, waterproof paper. Most insects will not try to cross the band - any that try will be caught. The green colour of the band is not attractive to beneficial insects.

The 'Glue Band' can also form an effective barrier against slugs and snails.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

The band should be placed around the trunk of the tree, below the lowest branch and ideally 60-90cm (2-3 feet) above the ground. If the tree is supported by a stake it is vital that the stake is also banded.

Remove any loose bark, moss or lichen before placing the 'Glue Band'. Measure the length of band about 3 cm longer than the circumference of the tree and cut with scissors. Carefully pull the sides apart to completely expose the area of glue. Stretch around the tree. The glue on the overlap will hold the band in position while a length of string is tied around above and below the glue area.

Check regularly that debris is not stuck to the glue as this may form a bridge for insects to cross the barrier.
